ToolGuyd reported that the Bosch GLM100-23 laser distance measurer was on sale for $37.79 for Prime Day, below the publication’s cited typical promotional price of about $40. The report said the deal was expected to end Oct. 7, 2026, but availability and pricing may change.
Bosch’s GLM100-23 laser distance measurer was listed for $37.79 in a Prime Day deal reported by ToolGuyd on Oct. 7, 2026. The publication said the price was below the model’s usual promotional price of about $40 and that the offer was expected to end that day; whether it remains available at that price is unclear.
The GLM100-23 is a compact, battery-powered tool for measuring distances between two points, including places where using a tape measure may be awkward or impractical. According to the product details cited by ToolGuyd, it has a 100-foot measurement range and stated accuracy of plus or minus 1/16 inch. It runs on two AAA batteries.
ToolGuyd’s writer said they bought the model for about $40 in November 2023 after Bosch did not provide a sample quickly enough for the publication’s coverage. The writer described the new $37.79 price as lower than any price they could recall seeing for the tool, while noting that $40 is typically its promotional price. That price history is the writer’s recollection, not a documented complete record of past prices.
The report also listed the Bosch GLM165-22 at $78.84 as another Prime Day option, describing it as a model for buyers seeking more features. ToolGuyd said the GLM100-23 deal and the GLM165-22 deal appeared set to end on Oct. 7. The article disclosed that ToolGuyd might earn an affiliate commission from purchases made through its links.
A Small Cut Below Bosch’s Usual Deal
The reported sale puts a familiar measuring tool a little below the roughly $40 promotional price cited by ToolGuyd. For shoppers who already need a laser measure, that difference may make the GLM100-23 a more appealing purchase, though the report does not establish that $37.79 is the lowest price available across all sellers or that the offer is still active.
The practical appeal is its relatively straightforward setup: the tool uses AAA batteries rather than a rechargeable pack, and ToolGuyd’s writer praised its simple operation and separate unit-selection button. Those are the writer’s assessments, not independent test findings supplied with the deal report. Buyers who need calculations or other advanced functions may prefer a more feature-rich model, such as the GLM165-22 also mentioned in the article.

How the GLM100-23 Fits the Sale
ToolGuyd presented the GLM100-23 as a no-frills option for quick point-to-point measurements, rather than as a feature-packed device. The writer said they had used Bosch laser measuring tools over the years and trusted the brand based on those experiences. The report did not include a new hands-on test of the GLM100-23 for this Prime Day sale.
The article contrasted Bosch’s tool with a discounted Hoto laser measure, which it characterized as appearing aimed at DIY users but marketed with “Gadget Birthday Gift for Men & Women” language. That comparison reflects ToolGuyd’s view of the products and their positioning. The report did not provide a Hoto price or a detailed side-by-side performance comparison.
ToolGuyd also observed that the GLM100-23 had cost the writer about $40 in late 2023 and said $40 is typically its season-long promotional price. Its suggestion that the tool might go on sale again during the holidays was a prediction, not a confirmed future discount.
““$40 is a great price, $37.79 is a little bit better.””
— ToolGuyd writer
Price and Stock Could Change
The source report says the offer appeared set to end on Oct. 7, 2026, but it does not confirm the time the price would expire or whether the listing remained available after publication. Sale prices and stock can change, and the report does not establish current checkout pricing.
ToolGuyd did not provide a full price-tracking record to verify its recollection that $37.79 was below prior prices, nor did it publish independent accuracy testing alongside the deal. The report also does not specify how the tool performs under different conditions or compare measured results with competing models. Those details should not be inferred from the listed range and accuracy specifications.
Check the Listing Before Buying
Shoppers interested in the GLM100-23 should check the retailer listing for current price, stock and delivery details, since the reported deal was scheduled to end Oct. 7. Buyers should also confirm that the tool’s 100-foot range, stated accuracy and basic measurement functions fit their needs before choosing it over a model with additional features.
ToolGuyd suggested the GLM100-23 could be discounted again around the holidays, but it did not confirm a future sale or price. The next practical update is whether the Prime Day listing remains active and what price the retailer shows after the reported sale period.
